Event Paper

The challenge

Festivals nowadays do comparatively little with the social media content of their visitors. Some show content on so-called social walls, others use slivers in their aftermovies, but no event uses it extensively. It is a cheap available resource that is underutilised. That is a pity, the social media content of visitors is genuine and of high quality.

The solution

EventPaper offers a physical keepsake of any given event, in a way that no current product does. A physical newspaper is delivered to event attendees after the event had concluded. This makes for a nice souvenir for the attendee, good after-sales marketing for the event and an extra advertisement platform for the event's sponsors. The EventPaper is filled with content generated by visitors of the event. To incentivize visitors to upload content to EventPaper, Challenges are created. These Challenges can be made in collaboration with the event's sponsors. For example, if Red Bull sponsors an event, a Challenge could be to send in your most original selfie with a Red Bull mascot present at the event. Participating in these Challenges is rewarded by giving the user points for entering in a Challenge. These points can then be redeemed for things like beverages at the event. Simply entering in a Challenge gives a small amount of points. Winning the Challenge, which also means your entry is selected for the EventPaper itself, rewards the user with many points. Larger rewards, like backstage tours or meet-and-greets with artists, can be redeemed with such large amounts of points. EventPaper offers the service of setting up the Challenges, collecting the content and producing the physical paper to event organizers and their sponsors. Visitors do not pay (directly) for the paper.
