Go Global!
Opportunities to study abroad during college are often exclusive, expensive, and limited in choice. For example, enrolling at an American college as a Dutch student. In the Netherlands, tuition costs about €2000/year with housing costs around €500/month. In the United States, tuition is on average €35.000/year with €800/month of housing costs. From a Dutch student's perspective, this is simply too expensive and most will brush it off after hearing those costs. Although, an internship or study abroad experience in this country can prove invaluable for future employment and personal development. This inadvertently discourages less fortunate, if not all, students from pursuing an international experience.
An initiative to raise funds for scholarships and grants to help underprivileged and less fortunate students afford their international experience.
