Daily Medication
Our concept solves the problem of people taking the wrong medication at the wrong time. There are massive risks that come with taking the wrong medicines, or taking them at the wrong time. As of now, people that take daily medication rely on either overpriced medication manager systems or fiddly plastic pill boxes. The latter has risks of accidentally pushing the medication into another segment or taking the medication from a different segment.
The solution offered is a portable pill box which can be filled by pharmacies and only provides access to the right medication at the right time. With the aid of a timer, the lid will rotate to the correct compartment, which is associated with a particular day of the week. To address the forgetfulness of the elderly, audio signals have been implemented which serve as a reminder mechanism. There is no risk of taking medication that should be taken at a different moment of the day, and no risk of pushing medication into a different compartment. Furthermore, the solution can be used without the help of any external devices such as tablets and mobile phones.
